The other day, I referenced Verse 22, as it relates to knowledge of the future. (Which only G-d can know.) While I was thinking about what to discuss with Todaisy, my mind was drawn to the lyrics for “Turn! Turn! Turn!” by the Byrds. Probably heard that song 100 times on KONO-FM when I was a child, but I never realized it’s lifted almost straight from scripture. Or if someone told me, I forgot. 🤷 Went deeper down the rabbit hole and learned it was “written” by a victim of McCarthyism.
Having been “blacklisted” from working in basically all NYC (& Long Island) hotels because I had the audacity to call out actual crimes/injustices, I’m empathetic here. Similarly, I’ve had my life & liberty threatened by deep state shadow actors. Yet, when I get a massive settlement outta all this, I can assure you: I will tithe 15% to the various NY churches that have welcomed me throughout this cosmic clusterfuck odyssey (and do my part to help the homeless) but I’m not funding any commie, counter-culture dweebs.*
*I now vote Republican, pending a pro-life, evangelical Democrat. Seen any lately?
Update: just in case that above link to my Facebook doesn’t work (because Meta is in on it) here’s evidence that my former employer, Aimbridge Hospitality, was underpaying migrants (during the Biden administration) and also that Facebook seemingly buried my allegation/limited engagement in that – and many other – posts.
