I enjoyed their Ash Wednesday service so much, I’ve decided to attend mass here until I have to go back into another mental institution. (Not for ThE VoIcEs this time, but because the especial agents over at Precision Painting Plus terrorized me, and then had me fired for calling the cops about it. I’m broke!)
It’s a much shorter walk from the train station compared to St. Brigid’s, and I like the fact that they have both hymnals AND missals available. In Flushing, they just throw the bare lyrics (sans scales) up on a PowerPoint and expect everyone to sing on key.
I’m sure there are other reasons I feel more comfortable worshipping in this part of De Island, but I don’t wanna get in trouble for saying why.
Hey! I’ve got an idea – what if you brought your partner and the kiddos to the 10 A.M. mass tomorrow, and every Sunday thereafter? I’m sure I’d eventually be convinced that you don’t need rescuing from the stinky clutches of evil.
